Latest Updates to OrangeFS Include Web Pack and Better Performance

The recent maintenance update (Version 2.8.7), added to the June 18 release of Version 2.8.6, provide significant improvements in performance, extended Linux Kernel support (including 3.x) and new Direct Interface libraries for POSIX and system calls to seamlessly integrate with OrangeFS. The project team also added support for WebDAV and S3 in its first offering of Web Pack, a separate download to be extended in future releases as a toolkit for Web-based communications.

In the recent Standard Edition release of Identity Manager 4.0 Omnibond contributed a new driver that enables the Blackboard Learn course management system to synchronize its account data with Identity Manager.
